Mathura, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a sharp critique of the opposition during the Janmashtami celebrations in Mathura on September 4. He asserted that those who place their faith in historical figures like Babur and Aurangzeb cannot respect the beliefs of the Sanatan community or the nation. Adityanath warned that such individuals might attempt to sow discord in society and jeopardize the interests of youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs. However, he assured that the double-engine government would thwart their plans.
While visiting the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple, CM Yogi offered prayers and extended his best wishes for Janmashtami to the people of Uttar Pradesh. He spent approximately 30 minutes in the temple complex, showering flower petals on devotees.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that the government holds faith in deities such as Lord Krishna, Lord Ram, Baba Vishwanath, and Maa Vindhyavasini. He questioned whether those who revere Babur and Aurangzeb could truly honor the faith of the people. He noted that such individuals have a history of poisoning society, which could embolden anti-social and anti-national elements. These groups may undermine the future of the youth, threaten the safety of women, and exploit farmers, he warned.
CM Yogi vowed that the double-engine government would thwart these malicious intentions and ensure they never succeed. He recalled how, approximately 500 years ago, foreign invaders attempted to erase the faith of the people in Ayodhya. Those who once considered themselves invincible have long since vanished. Despite numerous attempts to extinguish Sanatan beliefs, none have succeeded, he stated, adding that those who dared to challenge it have faded into obscurity.
He pointed out that some individuals are uncomfortable with the grand temple of Lord Ram, claiming they are attempting to tarnish Ayodhya’s reputation. The government aims to develop a magnificent complex in Mathura-Vrindavan, similar to Ayodhya and Kashi, ensuring that the entire Braj region develops in accordance with the sentiments of its people. “Whether it’s Mathura, Nandgaon, Barsana, Govardhan, or Vrindavan, the entire Braj will be developed to reflect your emotions,” he affirmed, promising no effort would be spared.
He also criticized previous governments for prioritizing their vote banks over the development of Braj, implying that their fear of losing support had led to incidents like the Jawaharbagh incident. In contrast, he highlighted that the current government fosters celebrations rather than unrest.
CM Yogi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to honor the residents of Braj during Janmashtami. He reiterated that the teachings of Lord Krishna remain relevant today, urging people to work for the country, Sanatan, and humanity.
He reminded attendees that approximately 5,200 years ago, Lord Krishna appeared on this sacred land to promote dharma, truth, and justice. Despite facing numerous invasions and challenges, the faith of Sanatan has remained unbroken. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is witnessing a remarkable blend of heritage and development. The government is committed to enhancing the grandeur of major faith centers while also accelerating development.
Adityanath concluded by highlighting the commitment to developing the Braj region, akin to the significant enhancements made at Vindhyavasini Dham due to faith in Yogamaya. He emphasized that the memories of Lord Krishna and Radha continue to inspire the nation, guiding society towards duty, truth, and justice.
