CM Rekha Gupta Visits Village Cottage Home, Announces New Support Scheme for Youth

New Delhi, May 10: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Village Cottage Home in Lajpat Nagar on Sunday. During her visit, she announced the launch of the ‘Aftercare Scheme for Young Persons.’

This initiative, backed by a budget of ₹3.5 crore for the fiscal year 2026-27, aims to provide rehabilitation support, higher education assistance, skill development, career guidance, internships, and financial aid to youth transitioning out of childcare institutions at the age of 18. This scheme reflects the Delhi government’s commitment to ensuring that every young person receives the necessary support, guidance, and opportunities to build a safe, dignified, and self-reliant future.

CM Rekha Gupta shared on the social media platform X that she spent some truly heartwarming and emotional moments with the children at the Village Cottage Home on Mother’s Day. She expressed that the smiles of these children reflect warmth and genuine connection. Every moment spent with them will always remain with her. She emphasized that every child deserves love, safety, quality education, and the warmth of a family—hallmarks of a compassionate society. The Delhi government is continuously working to bring faith, opportunity, and a new light of a bright future into the lives of every child.

In her second post on X, the Chief Minister mentioned that she addressed training sessions organized under the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyan-2026’ for the New Delhi and Karol Bagh districts. This program provided an opportunity to strengthen the organizational framework of the BJP and communicate upcoming goals with the attendees.

She further stated that discipline and training are essential for any organization. Training is the process that develops ideological clarity and operational efficiency within a worker. The BJP worker is the mainstay that conveys the organization’s ideas and the government’s welfare policies to every individual. When workers are trained and resolute, the commitment to nation-building is fulfilled.

CM Rekha Gupta noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ideology of the party has seen unprecedented expansion across the country. From Anga, Banga, and Kalinga to Gangotri and Ganga Sagar, the lotus of service and good governance has bloomed everywhere. This is the result of the dedication and relentless efforts of millions of loyal BJP workers.

The event was attended by MP Bansuri Swaraj, MLA Harish Khurana, Umang Bajaj, District President Virendra Babbar, and esteemed party officials and dedicated workers.
