CJP Clarifies Peaceful Protest Plans Amid Disturbances in New Delhi

New Delhi, July 22: The Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) has made it clear that it has only called its supporters to participate in a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. The party emphasized that there has been no call for gatherings in other parts of Delhi.

Abhijit Dipke released a video stating that there are reports suggesting some anti-social elements may have been sent to create disturbances in other areas of Delhi. He clarified that these individuals are not associated with the CJP and have no ties to the party.

The CJP urged its supporters to participate solely in the ongoing peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar and to refrain from engaging with any rumors or provocations.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police also addressed an incident that occurred in the New Delhi area. According to the police, a group of young individuals approached barricades around 8 PM and started throwing stones at the police force present there. During this incident, some barricades were also toppled.

The Delhi Police reported that officers maintained a safe distance and appealed to the crowd to keep the peace. Shortly after, the group dispersed, and the situation returned to normal.

The police confirmed that no force was used anywhere in New Delhi, and the situation was completely calmed within minutes.

On Tuesday, opposition leaders marched from the Parliament House to the Prime Minister’s residence and staged a sit-in in front of the PM’s residence. Union Minister Jitendra Singh attempted to negotiate with Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi to end the protest, but the discussions were unproductive. Subsequently, the Delhi Police removed the leaders from the area.

Late at night, all the leaders were released by the Delhi Police.
