New Delhi, July 22: During a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence, Delhi Police detained Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav. He, along with other leaders, was released late at night. The SP has urged its workers to end the demonstration. Following his release, Yadav criticized the government and called for the resignation of the Education Minister.
The SP confirmed that Akhilesh Yadav, along with all MPs and leaders, has been released. They have also requested their workers to conclude the protests that were sparked by police actions.
After his release, Akhilesh Yadav targeted the government, demanding the Education Minister’s resignation. He stated that many students faced violence during the protests and accused the police of injustice. He claimed that the anger was being misdirected towards students after some failed the NEET exam. Yadav insisted that the government must accept the students’ demands and that the Education Minister should step down.
Yadav expressed confusion over the lack of pressure to remove the Education Minister, suggesting that the government is trying to avoid exposing corruption and scandals. He affirmed that the opposition will continue to fight for the rights of youth and students. He also noted that no tribute was paid in Parliament for the students who lost their lives, indicating the government’s reluctance to respond.
He emphasized that the new generation, including youth and students, deserves support from all political parties. Their issues must be addressed. If the country is progressing rapidly and promoting the vision of a developed India, then rising unemployment is unacceptable. Increased unemployment and inflation suggest a lack of investment.
Yadav also commented on the recent theft from the donation box at the Ram Temple, stating that it has saddened the entire nation. He labeled it a grave sin and noted that a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to uncover the truth, which may lead to significant revelations.
He highlighted that there have been 20 paper leaks in Uttar Pradesh, indicating rampant corruption that has affected millions.
