
Beijing, May 12: On May 12, International Nurses Day is celebrated globally. To mark this occasion, Chinese Vice Premier Liu Guoqiang visited the Beijing Emergency Medical Center on May 11, extending his best wishes to over 6 million nursing professionals in the country.
During his visit, Liu encouraged nursing staff to remember their fundamental aspirations and mission, in line with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech. He emphasized the importance of understanding professional integrity to enhance nursing standards and significantly contribute to building a healthy China.
Liu Guoqiang engaged in in-depth discussions with medical personnel at the Beijing Emergency Medical Center. He gathered insights on various topics, including nurse training, nursing services, emergency care before hospital arrival, and ambulance operations.
He stated that nursing is a vital component of health and medical care. During the 14th Five-Year Plan, improvements were made in China’s nursing service system, and professional skills have continuously advanced.
The 15th Five-Year Plan is a crucial phase for building a healthy China. Various departments must support nursing work while safeguarding the interests of nursing staff.
