China’s 9th International Import Expo Set to Break Records

The 9th China International Import Expo promises record participation and new initiatives, showcasing over 480 products for the first time.

Beijing, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Chinese State Council’s Information Office held a press conference on October 16, detailing preparations for the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE). Officials anticipate that this year’s expo will set numerous records.

The exhibition area is expected to exceed 370,000 square meters, marking a significant expansion. More than 300 companies listed in the Fortune Global 500 and other leading firms from various industries are expected to participate, a first in the event’s history. Approximately 200 enterprises and institutions will join for the ninth consecutive year, while over 2,000 new businesses will make their debut.

In addition, more than 480 major products will be showcased for the first time across global, Asian, and Chinese markets, representing the highest number yet.

This year will also see the introduction of several new initiatives. Special programs will be organized for the guest country and the annual theme of “Exporting to China.” These initiatives will include tailored support measures and services for both parties. The guest country’s theme day will be celebrated in the business areas surrounding the exhibition venue. Furthermore, a dedicated exhibition area for global national brands will be introduced for the first time.

Three major events at the expo will also be revamped. The “Outstanding Goods Fair” will host an “Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop” for the first time, while a special area will be created at the “Culinary Fair” for tasting dishes from around the world. Additionally, the “Art and Literature Fair” will be linked with the inaugural “China International Fashion Week.”

The 9th China International Import Expo will take place from November 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
