China to Implement National Standards for Signage in Natural Conservation Areas

Beijing, May 12: A national standard for signage in natural conservation areas in China will come into effect this August. The Chinese National Standardization Administration announced this on May 11.

Natural conservation areas are categorized based on their ecological significance and the intensity of conservation efforts. They are classified into national parks, natural reserves, and nature parks.

The signage in these areas refers to various signs, markers, and directional indicators placed within and around natural conservation zones. These signs are designed to guide visitors and provide safety information, forming a systematic visual symbol system.

According to the new requirements, standardized management will be implemented for approximately 10,000 signs installed across natural conservation areas throughout China.
