China and Israels Foreign Ministers Discuss Current Issues in Phone Call

Beijing, March 5: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a phone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Saar on Tuesday.

After Saar briefed Wang on Israel’s stance regarding the current situation, Wang emphasized that China supports resolving international and regional issues through dialogue and consultation. He urged all parties to adhere to the principles of the United Nations Charter and to avoid the use of force or threats, which align with the fundamental interests of all parties, including Israel.

Wang noted that China has been striving for a political solution to the Iran nuclear issue for years. Recently, there had been significant progress in Iran-U.S. talks, which included Israel’s security concerns, but unfortunately, this process was disrupted.

He made it clear that China opposes military attacks on Iran by Israel and the U.S. Military force does not solve problems; instead, it creates new issues and severe consequences. The true value of military capability lies not on the battlefield, but in preventing war.

The Chinese Foreign Minister called for an immediate halt to military actions and urged efforts to prevent further escalation of conflict. He stated that China maintains a neutral stance on Middle Eastern issues and will continue to play a constructive role in calming the situation.

Wang urged Israel to take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and institutions. Saar responded that Israel prioritizes this matter and will ensure the security of Chinese personnel and institutions.
