Bhopal, August 5: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav advised students on Wednesday to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT responsibly. He emphasized that technology should be used as an aid, but facts must always be verified through independent thinking.
While interacting with students during the ‘From Books to Tomorrow’ program at Kamla Nehru Sandipani Government Girls School in Bhopal, the Chief Minister addressed questions related to AI, education, career planning, social media, and stress management.
In response to a student’s question about whether he uses ChatGPT, Chief Minister Yadav mentioned that he utilizes AI tools to gather the latest information on topics related to programs and speeches.
He further stated, “I use AI to understand new developments on a subject. However, whether it is ChatGPT or any other AI tool, it is not the final authority. Use AI, but exercise your judgment and verify facts and figures.”
During the program, Chief Minister Yadav also interacted with members of the elected student cabinet, which included students responsible for departments such as principal, sports, culture, and discipline.
The students informed the Chief Minister that the cabinet is elected through a democratic voting process, which includes campaigning, voting, and regular meetings with teachers.
Appreciating this initiative, Chief Minister Yadav invited the cabinet members to the stage and discussed their responsibilities.
He encouraged students to continue learning beyond classroom education and to achieve their goals with discipline. He stated that education should be a lifelong pursuit. Students should set clear goals, study diligently, and also allocate time for sports, self-study, and personal development.
In response to another question, Chief Minister Yadav noted that social media has become an essential platform for public representatives, mentioning that he follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Instagram.
He also advised students to assist accident victims whenever possible, encourage their younger siblings to pursue education, and contribute to society.
Later, the Chief Minister engaged in a dialogue with teachers, urging them to inspire students to explore opportunities in agriculture, entrepreneurship, armed forces, public service, and politics.
Established in 1958, Kamla Nehru Sandipani Government Girls School has over 1,800 students from nursery to class 12. The school has initiated smart classrooms, laboratories, and an elected student cabinet as part of its academic and leadership development initiatives.
