Change is Inevitable in Punjab, Says BJP Leader Rohan Gupta

Ahmedabad, September 1: BJP leader Rohan Gupta has asserted that change is certain in Punjab this time. The people of Punjab are fed up with the Aam Aadmi Party’s government. They desire a government that guarantees security.

In a conversation in Ahmedabad, Gupta questioned the law and order situation in Punjab, stating that the Aam Aadmi Party’s model in Delhi has been exposed. He pointed out that when one of their own leaders is murdered, accountability for law and order falls on their government. The people of Punjab are aware of how much the state has regressed under their leadership. The dangerous politics they have engaged in is detrimental to the nation. This is why the people of Punjab are ready for change, as evidenced by the significant victory of the ABVP. Punjab wants transformation, and this time, change is inevitable.

Responding to Congress’s questions regarding GDP figures, Gupta countered, saying that the party that labeled it a “dead economy” and predicted a “tsunami” has received a firm response from 1.4 billion Indians. This is India, built on the hard work of its 1.4 billion people. No one can ignore this reality. Regardless of attempts to instill fear or make claims about impending disasters, the people of India are capable of facing any challenge. Congress must accept the truth.

He further stated that Congress symbolizes corruption. While the state may change, Congress’s policies remain the same. News frequently emerges about issues in Karnataka, Telangana, and Kerala, and the situation in Himachal Pradesh is well-known. Congress leaders make grand promises to the public but fail to deliver whenever they have the opportunity.

Regarding the Rajasthan municipal elections, Gupta remarked that Congress will never change, and yesterday’s events in Rajasthan showcased this. The way their own workers accused their leaders, protested against ticket allocations, and demonstrated against senior leaders indicates that conditions cannot improve. As long as Congress exists, internal conflicts and issues will persist. A political party should maintain basic discipline. While minor grievances may occur, the level of infighting suggests problems during ticket distribution. I am confident that the BJP will achieve a significant victory.
