CBI Arrests Two BSNL Engineers in Bribery Case in Bhopal

Bhopal, August 27: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two engineers from BSNL in Bhopal on Thursday for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹75,000. The accused include the Chief Engineer (Electrical) and the Superintending Engineer (Electrical) of BSNL.

The CBI registered the case on Thursday, alleging that the engineers demanded an illegal bribe of ₹2 lakh each from a firm in Jabalpur. This firm is involved in operations and maintenance (OCM) and electrical installations for BSNL.

According to the CBI, the bribe was requested to process pending bills for 14 different projects associated with the firm.
