BSSC 2nd Inter Level Vacancy Increased Again; Last Date Extended

BSSC 2nd Inter Level Vacancy Update

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has once again increased the number of vacancies for the BSSC Second Inter Level Recruitment 2023. This time, an additional 809 vacancies have been added, raising the total number of posts to 25,311. Along with this increase, the commission has extended the registration and application deadlines. The last date to register and pay the fee has been extended from January 29, 2026, to February 13, 2026. The final date to submit the completed application form is now February 16, 2026.

This recruitment was initially announced in 2023 and has seen several vacancy increases since then. The application deadline has also been extended multiple times. Over 33 lakh candidates have applied so far. The repeated extensions have frustrated many candidates who are eagerly waiting for the exam date. They feel that reopening the application window and extending deadlines repeatedly is delaying the process unnecessarily. It is worth noting that the first inter-level exam advertisement was released in 2014, and the final results took seven years to be declared.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 12th grade (Intermediate). For some posts, typing skills on a computer along with the Intermediate qualification are required.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a preliminary written exam, a main exam, and a skill test. All exams will be conducted online.

Result Declaration and Normalization

If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, results will be released using a normalization process. Candidates who score up to five times the total vacancies will qualify for the Physical Test (PT). These candidates will then appear for the main exam.

Application fee for all categories is ₹100.
