New Delhi, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : The BRICS summit held in New Delhi has been described as a significant opportunity for India by BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal. He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, this meeting could enhance India’s trade, industry, economy, technology, and digitalization. Khandelwal noted that discussions with leaders from various countries would provide India a chance to strengthen its global position.
He mentioned that the summit would address critical issues ranging from trade and industry to technology and the digital sector. Khandelwal expressed optimism that India’s rapid advancements in these areas could be accelerated through collaboration with other nations. He also highlighted that initiatives like “Made in India, Made for the World” could gain momentum from this summit.
Khandelwal pointed out the summit’s significance in global politics, especially as it marks a rare occasion for leaders from Russia, China, and other nations to gather in India. He anticipates positive outcomes from Prime Minister Modi’s discussions with these leaders, believing they could lead to tangible results.
The BJP MP asserted that the BRICS summit would fortify India’s global standing. He remarked that India’s role in the changing world order is becoming increasingly vital, and international platforms like this offer the country a chance to enhance its stature as a strong nation.
Addressing criticism from the opposition regarding the summit, Khandelwal accused them of failing to acknowledge the progress India is making under Modi’s leadership. He claimed the opposition tends to turn every issue into a controversy and likened their behavior to that of a “disgruntled uncle.”
In response to a comment made by Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, who referred to the party as an “ex-girlfriend,” Khandelwal suggested that such remarks stem from Chadha’s own insecurities, implying that the AAP remains fixated on past relationships.
