Brazil Hosts China in Spring Global Dialogue Session

Brasília, March 20: A global dialogue titled ‘China in Spring: China’s Development and Global Opportunities’ was held in Brasília, organized jointly by the China Media Group (CMG) and the Chinese Embassy in Brazil.

The event featured video messages from Shan Haixiong, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director-General of CMG, and Brazil’s Health Minister Alexandre Padilha.

Chinese Ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingchao, along with Marcelo Costa, Executive Secretary of the Institutional Relations Ministry of the Brazilian Presidential Palace, and Marco Konopacki, Special Advisor to the Press Office of the Brazilian Presidential Palace, were among the officials who participated and delivered speeches. Approximately 120 guests from Brazil’s political, business, academic, and media sectors attended the event.

In his video address, CMG Director-General Shan Haixiong emphasized that during the two sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), President Xi Jinping highlighted the need for further expansion of high-level openness, extensive exploration of global markets, and better coordination with the international economic cycle. This reflects China’s clear and firm resolve to keep its doors to openness even wider in the future.

Ambassador Zhu Qingchao remarked that the 15th Five-Year Plan represents a new blueprint for China’s development and a fresh perspective for mutually beneficial cooperation. As China’s vast market continues to grow and opens up to the outside world, it will provide more opportunities for collaboration with countries like Brazil.
