Mumbai, August 13 (Kiran News) – Renowned Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor paid an emotional tribute to his late wife and legendary actress Sridevi on her 62nd birth anniversary. Marking the occasion, Kapoor shared a rare, unseen photograph from her 27th birthday on Instagram.
In the picture, Sridevi can be seen smiling warmly and gesturing towards Kapoor, her face radiating the same innocence and charm that made her one of India’s most beloved stars.
Alongside the photograph, Kapoor wrote a heartfelt note that moved many of her fans to tears. “At her birthday party in Chennai in 1990, I wished her on her 27th birthday as if it was her 26th. I told her this so she would feel younger. It was meant as a compliment, to say that with every passing day she was becoming more beautiful and youthful. But she soon realised I was teasing her,” he recalled.
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor married in 1996. Over her illustrious career, Sridevi starred in iconic films such as Chandni, Mr. India, Lamhe, Sadma, and English Vinglish, carving an irreplaceable place in Indian cinema. Her untimely demise in 2018 left the nation and her admirers in deep grief.
