Bomb Threat Emails Target Schools and Government Offices in Chandigarh and Delhi

New Delhi, April 6: Bomb threat emails have been sent to several schools and government offices in Chandigarh and Delhi. The emails, received on Monday morning, warned of bomb explosions at these locations. In response, security agencies have heightened their alert status and are conducting thorough inspections of all affected buildings.

The emails, allegedly sent by pro-Khalistan supporters, specifically targeted certain schools, the mayor’s office, and the secretariat in Chandigarh. They contained inflammatory language, stating, “Save your children. Khalistanis are not against children; they will destroy the Modi government of India.”

Additionally, the emails requested that instead of the national anthem, the composition “Deh Siva Bar Mohe Ihai” by Guru Gobind Singh be played in schools.

Upon receiving the threats, Chandigarh police acted swiftly. Bomb disposal squads and police teams were dispatched to the sites. Students and staff in schools and government buildings were moved to safe locations as a precaution.

A similar incident occurred in Delhi, where Ramjas College and Miranda House received bomb threat emails. The administration received these emails on Monday morning, prompting the evacuation of the college campuses. Bomb squads and dog units were deployed to the locations, and a comprehensive search of the premises is currently underway.

Police officials have stated that no incidents have occurred so far, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities are examining the server, IP address, and digital trail of the email sender. Security measures have been intensified across all schools, colleges, and government buildings.

This is not the first time that schools or government premises have received threatening emails. There have been multiple instances in the past where schools, assemblies, and courts have been threatened with bomb attacks.
