Bollywoods Tiger Shroff Shot At: A Call for Urgent Security Measures from Union Home Minister Amit Shah

The All Indian Cine Workers Association demands immediate action for Tiger Shroffs safety after a shooting incident in Mumbai.

Mumbai, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has urgently called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene following a shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, president of AICWA, expressed deep concern for Shroff’s safety, as well as that of his family and the broader film industry.

The incident occurred in Juhu, one of Mumbai’s busiest areas, while Shroff was seated inside his car. Two individuals were injured in the shooting, which Gupta described as a harrowing event. He noted that Shroff narrowly escaped harm, thanks to his quick thinking that prevented a potentially catastrophic outcome. Gupta emphasized that if someone else had been in Shroff’s position, the results could have been dire.

Gupta pointed out that Shroff has no known enemies and is a respected actor loved by audiences across the country. Despite this, he was brazenly targeted in broad daylight. The attack has left Shroff and his family living in fear, highlighting a disturbing trend where criminals seem to operate without fear of the law. AICWA stands firmly behind Shroff, demanding immediate and comprehensive security measures for him and his family.

“This attack is not an isolated incident,” Gupta stated, linking it to a series of violent acts against those in the film industry. He recalled previous attacks, including gunfire outside actor Salman Khan’s home and a knife attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. Gupta warned that the current climate represents a dangerous escalation, with film personalities deliberately targeted to instill fear and enable extortion. He noted that gangsters have openly claimed responsibility for past incidents, yet their networks remain active, and the government has failed to protect the film community.

Gupta lamented the resurgence of underworld fear in Mumbai, stating that it had been thought to be under control. He insisted that mere statements from officials are insufficient; the film industry requires real protection. Despite contributing significantly to the economy through taxes, Bollywood is left questioning who will ensure its safety.

He warned that continued attacks could force prominent figures to leave Mumbai, posing a significant threat to the livelihoods of thousands and the identity of the city itself. If a star like Tiger Shroff is not safe, how can ordinary citizens feel secure?

AICWA is demanding that the government provide immediate and effective security for Shroff and his family. They also called for directives to be issued to the National Investigation Agency and other relevant agencies to work with Maharashtra police in investigating the gang networks behind the attack. Gupta insisted that those responsible must be apprehended swiftly, and that fast-track courts should be utilized to ensure justice without delay.

To enhance security for the film industry, AICWA is advocating for the establishment of a special task force. They seek accountability for these recurring incidents and demand a permanent end to the intimidation from gangsters, along with timely reports on actions taken.
