Rising Gun Violence Targets Bollywood Stars: A Disturbing Trend
Gun violence against Bollywood stars is on the rise, with links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, raising serious security concerns.
Mumbai, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Gun violence targeting Bollywood stars has become increasingly alarming. Recent incidents have raised serious concerns about the safety of celebrities in the industry. Notably, many of these attacks are reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The trend began with Salman Khan, whose residence at Galaxy Apartments was shot at. Other notable incidents include attacks on singer A.P. Dhillon and Gippy Grewal, further highlighting the vulnerability of stars.
On January 31, 2026, Rohit Shetty experienced a terrifying moment when five rounds were fired outside his home in Juhu, Mumbai, between 12:45 AM and 3:45 AM. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, including members Shubham Lonkar, Arju Bishnoi, Hari Boxer, and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility for the attack via social media.
Comedian Kapil Sharma faced a violent incident in 2025 when gunfire erupted at his Caps Cafe in Canada. The attackers, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, were reportedly motivated by Sharma’s connections to Salman Khan and his involvement in the star’s show.
In another incident, singer Guru Randhawa was targeted at his ’24 Hours Fitness Gym’ in West Vihar, Delhi. On that day, two masked assailants on a motorcycle fired approximately seven rounds outside the gym at 5 AM, shattering glass and instilling fear in the area. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, along with member Anil Pandit, took responsibility, stating that Randhawa was targeted due to his ties to Salman Khan.
Gippy Grewal’s residence in Vancouver was also attacked on the night of November 26-27, 2023. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang warned Grewal via social media to distance himself from Salman Khan.
Additionally, A.P. Dhillon’s home in Canada was shot at, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility through a social media post. The threat included references to Dhillon’s past associations with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
These incidents reflect a troubling trend of violence against Bollywood figures, prompting urgent discussions about security measures within the industry.
