BJPs Patel Criticizes Hemant Soren Government Over Corruption and Law and Order Issues

Ranchi, October 6 (Daily Kiran) : Gajendra Singh Patel, the newly appointed in-charge of the Jharkhand BJP and national general secretary, launched a sharp critique of the Hemant Soren government during a press conference on October 6 in Ranchi. He raised concerns about corruption, law and order, women’s safety, employment, student protests, and alleged illegal immigration.

In his first press briefing at the state party office, Patel expressed alarm over the state’s condition after interacting with residents during his two-day visit across various districts. He accused the ruling coalition of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of disappointing the public since taking power in 2019.

According to Patel, the government has failed to deliver on basic services such as health, education, roads, electricity, drinking water, and irrigation. He highlighted that marginalized groups, including the poor, tribals, Dalits, backward classes, women, farmers, and youth, are disillusioned with the government’s performance.

Patel also alleged widespread corruption in the state, particularly regarding irregularities in the management of sand, coal, stone, and other mineral resources, as well as funds from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT). He stated that the BJP has consistently raised these issues from the streets to the legislative assembly.

Touching on recent student movements, Patel mentioned the impact of alleged paper leaks and irregularities in competitive exams on the youth’s future. He referenced several examinations, including those conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, accusing the government of neglecting the interests of young people.

The BJP leader further questioned the government on illegal immigration and emphasized the importance of a thorough revision of the electoral rolls, advocating for the inclusion of genuine voters and the removal of ineligible names.

Patel criticized the state’s law and order situation, citing a climate of fear among citizens due to incidents of murder, robbery, abduction, and gun violence. He assured that the BJP will continue to strengthen its organization and raise public issues, maintaining a democratic movement against the government’s policies.

The press conference was attended by state president Aditya Sahu, opposition leader Babulal Marandi, former chief minister Raghuvar Das, and other party officials. Patel also provided details about upcoming events marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of service on October 7, urging party workers to ensure their success.
