Ghaziabad, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : BJP legislator Nand Kishore Gurjar has responded firmly to comments made by Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav regarding ticket allocations within the BJP. Gurjar defended the party’s ticket selection process, stating that decisions are based on surveys and the performance of candidates.
He addressed Yadav’s recent remarks concerning the withdrawal of cases against Azam Khan, criticizing the SP for its handling of political matters. Gurjar emphasized that the BJP assesses candidates based on their contributions to the public. If a legislator is not serving the community effectively, there is no reason to retain their ticket, he argued.
Gurjar confidently asserted that the BJP is poised to win over 350 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections. He advised Yadav to focus on the SP’s internal challenges rather than worrying about the BJP’s ticket strategy.
Commenting on Yadav’s press conference, Gurjar noted that the public had high expectations from the SP leader. However, he claimed that the party’s decisions and political stance have led to its decline. Since losing power in 2017, the SP has struggled, and Gurjar predicted that it would not achieve significant success in the 2027 elections either.
Regarding Yadav’s statements about withdrawing cases against Khan if re-elected, Gurjar questioned the SP’s policies. He insisted that ongoing legal matters should follow due process and that any serious accusations must be addressed through proper judicial channels. He accused the SP of bias during its governance, particularly in handling law and order and communal issues.
Gurjar challenged Yadav’s commitment to the welfare of backward and Dalit communities, questioning the inconsistency in his responses to various criminal incidents and victim families. In defending the actions of the BJP government, he pointed out that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration has taken decisive action against crime and supported victims’ families, unlike the SP, which he claimed has not adequately voiced support for victims in certain cases.
He concluded by stating that the people of Uttar Pradesh are now discerning the claims of political parties and their past decisions. In the age of social media, voters remember previous statements and actions. Gurjar believes that the SP’s influence is waning among the public, which will benefit the BJP in the upcoming elections. He reiterated that the BJP’s focus remains on law and order, development, and good governance, while the SP needs to reflect on its leadership and political approach.
Gurjar remains optimistic, asserting that the BJP will secure a substantial victory in the 2027 assembly elections, potentially surpassing the 350-seat mark.
