BJP Strengthens Strategy for Uttar Pradesh Teacher-Graduate MLC Elections

The BJP finalizes its strategy for the upcoming Teacher-Graduate MLC elections in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on voter engagement and booth management.

Lucknow, September 26 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intensifying its organizational preparations for the upcoming Teacher and Graduate Legislative Council elections in Uttar Pradesh. During a meeting held in Lucknow on Saturday, party officials and key leaders from the Awadh region outlined a comprehensive strategy covering voter outreach, booth management, and arrangements for election day.

State President and Union Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, urged party workers to establish personal connections with every eligible teacher and graduate voter. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that voters reach their polling booths on election day.

The meeting, attended by Chaudhary and State General Secretary (Organization) Dharmapal Singh, focused on finalizing the election strategy, reviewing voter lists, organizing booth management, and enhancing voter turnout. The party has also instructed the establishment of election offices in each district and the activation of call centers.

Chaudhary highlighted that these elections are not just a procedural exercise but a vital opportunity for ongoing dialogue with educated and intellectual voters in the state. He stressed the urgency of final preparations, urging every worker to engage fully in the campaign.

He noted that voter registration forms can be submitted until the day before nominations. Workers with completed forms were instructed to submit them immediately. The organization’s goal is to reach out to every voter personally, communicate effectively, and ensure their participation on voting day.

Chaudhary pointed out that past elections have seen many eligible voters fail to reach polling stations. He called for a change in this trend through effective communication and outreach. Every eligible voter must be included in the contact strategy.

In line with general elections, he directed the effective implementation of the booth-level management system for these elections as well. Each voter should be identified, contacted regularly, and assisted in reaching polling centers on election day.

Chaudhary also called for meetings with heads of educational institutions and the immediate initiation of teacher and graduate conferences at the assembly level. He emphasized the need to share information about the achievements of both the central and state governments during voter outreach, as well as to educate voters on the correct procedures for casting their ballots to prevent any errors that could lead to invalid votes.

He instructed the establishment of election offices and the activation of call centers in every district. The organization must be prepared to show its full strength alongside candidates on nomination day. On election day, arrangements for assistance centers, refreshments, and other necessities for voters must be ensured.

Chaudhary remarked that the Teacher and Graduate MLC elections serve as crucial practice for the upcoming assembly elections. He urged workers to rally with the motto “Win the booth, win the election.”

Dharmapal Singh reiterated that the BJP would approach the Teacher and Graduate MLC elections with the same preparation, discipline, and strategic organization as it does for Lok Sabha and assembly elections. He emphasized that direct contact and dialogue with voters are essential for success.

Singh noted the extensive nature of the electoral field and the limited time available, making regular reviews of preparations critical. Responsibilities must be clearly defined at every district, assembly, polling center, and voting site, with ongoing monitoring. He added that the voter list is the foundation of the party’s electoral strategy, and plans must be made to reach out to voters on every page of the list.

He also mentioned that the election campaign would not be limited to officials alone. All party representatives, officials, and workers must play active roles. Teams at every polling center must be prepared with voter lists, outreach plans, and strategies for election day.

Dilip Patel, another state official, emphasized that the Teacher and Graduate MLC elections represent the final and most important phase of organizational efforts. Attention must begin immediately on all arrangements from nominations to voting to ensure voters face no inconveniences and maximize turnout.

Election in-charge Sanjay Rai presented a detailed outline of the electoral preparations during the meeting. He provided information on the number of voters by region, voter forms, outreach campaigns, polling center conditions, and upcoming events. He stated that responsibilities would be defined progressively at both district and assembly levels.

Awadh region president Awadhesh Dwivedi confirmed that the organization is fully engaged in election preparations with seriousness and activity. He announced plans to expand the voter outreach campaign across all districts, with dialogue programs for teacher and graduate voters in each assembly and active teams at polling centers. He stressed that every voter is crucial, and thus, personal outreach should form the campaign’s core, alongside showcasing the achievements of the central and state governments and the party’s commitment to public service. The Awadh region’s organization will establish a robust contact mechanism from booths to voters while continually reviewing election preparations at every level.
