New Delhi, March 15: Following the announcement of the West Bengal elections, Union Minister Giriraj Singh made a bold claim that the BJP will secure a significant majority and form the government. Voting for the 294 assembly seats in Bengal will occur in two phases. According to the Election Commission, the first phase is scheduled for April 23, and the second phase will take place on April 29. The counting of votes is set for May 4.
Giriraj Singh emphasized that the Election Commission has announced the elections, with particular focus on West Bengal, where voting will be conducted in two phases. He urged the Commission to ensure that its teams operate effectively and that voters are not intimidated or misled by TMC workers.
Sanjay Sarawagi, the Bihar BJP state president, stated that the BJP will form the government in West Bengal, expressing no doubt about the outcome. He noted that the political atmosphere in Bengal is against Mamata Banerjee, as her arrogant and divisive politics have been rejected by the public, paving the way for the BJP’s rise to power.
BJP leader Shankar Ghosh from Bengal mentioned that the Election Commission has announced the election schedule for five states, including West Bengal.
Referencing Prime Minister Modi’s statement, he noted that the countdown for the Trinamool Congress’s exit from West Bengal has begun. “We are prepared with enthusiasm. The people of Bengal will create a new government. A good government will be formed for all the people of Bengal with new hope. The Election Commission must ensure that all voters can cast their votes without fear,” he added.
BJP MP Rajendra Gehlot asserted that the people of Bengal will reject Mamata Banerjee this time, and it is certain that the BJP will form a government with a clear majority in the state.
Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva welcomed the announcement, stating that everyone was aware elections were approaching, but these elections are particularly significant. “The people of West Bengal are very sensitive; they understand these matters very well. I believe that this time, the BJP will form the government in Bengal and other states as well,” he concluded.
