New Delhi, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth from various government organizations during the 20th Employment Fair on Saturday. The event will be conducted via video conferencing, allowing the Prime Minister to address participants across 45 locations nationwide.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the newly appointed candidates will join different ministries and departments of the Indian government. These include the Ministry of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, among others.
With the upcoming Employment Fair, a total of approximately 1.275 million appointment letters will have been distributed across various departments and government organizations. The initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to create job opportunities for the youth and ensure their enhanced participation in the country’s development journey.
In May, during a previous employment fair, Prime Minister Modi also handed out over 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various government departments and organizations. In his message to the new recruits, he emphasized the global excitement surrounding India’s youth and technological advancements.
He stated, “The world wants to be part of India’s development journey. India is partnering with various countries, aiming to provide opportunities, employment, and self-confidence to its youth, along with global exposure.”
Reports indicate that since October 2023, Prime Minister Modi has distributed nearly 1.2 million appointment letters through ongoing employment fairs, often issuing thousands of letters during a single event. This initiative is considered one of the largest direct recruitment drives by the government since he took office in 2014.
The term “development journey” refers to the government’s long-term, policy-driven initiatives, which highlight infrastructure projects, social welfare schemes, and cultural revival as integral components of national progress.
