New Delhi, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal has taken aim at opposition leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party and Rahul Gandhi of the Congress, for their recent statements. Responding to Kejriwal’s remarks about the Prime Minister, Khandelwal described them as unfortunate and emphasized that while political disagreement is common, the language used against the Prime Minister was unacceptable.
Khandelwal stated that the terms Kejriwal employed were beyond reproach. He stressed the importance of respecting individuals based on their age and position, suggesting that Kejriwal should reflect on his upbringing in light of his comments.
In a separate context, Khandelwal reacted to statements made by Rahul Gandhi during a Congress Working Committee meeting. He asserted that Gandhi lacks knowledge about the constitutional process for removing election commissioners. According to Khandelwal, there is a defined constitutional procedure that must be followed, which involves the Parliament’s role.
He also criticized Gandhi’s call for the Prime Minister’s resignation. Addressing Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations of discrimination against madrasas by the BJP government, Khandelwal pointed out that such statements reveal Yadav’s narrow political perspective.
Khandelwal reiterated that the Prime Minister consistently advocates for “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,” and that the government operates based on this principle. He highlighted the government’s commitment to the development and participation of all societal segments.
Additionally, Khandelwal emphasized the importance of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as a cornerstone of India’s digital payment system. He noted the need to ensure that the growing digital transaction framework remains secure, robust, and sustainable, particularly in light of increasing cyber security concerns.
