BJP leads in 42 Assembly seats in U’khand

Dehradun, March 10 : The ruling BJP in Uttarakahand is leading in 42 Assembly constituencies as the counting of votes are underway in the Himalayan state, as per the Election Commission. Challenger Congress is leading in 22 seats. Meanwhile, the others leading in 4 seats, the poll panel said. Former state CM and veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat is trailing to BJP’s Mohan Singh by a margin of 7085 votes. While his daughter Anupama Rawat is also trailing from Haridwar rural area. So far, Congress has garnered 3416 votes, BJP 4012 votes in Gangotri assembly, while Aam Aadmi Party’s CM candidate Col Ajay Kothiyal has received only 663 votes so far. BJP is ahead in Tehri’s Dhanaulti with 894 votes, Tehri (805), Ghansali (23), Devprayag (129). While Congress is leading by 300 in Pratap Nagar; Ghansali (23); Narendra Nangar (1544).
