BJP leaders meet LG, present five-point memorandum of demands

New Delhi, April 4 : BJP leaders met Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Monday regarding Delhi’s problems and presented him with a five-point memorandum of demands. The BJP said it raised some of the demands including problems of anganwadi workers, guest teachers issues, non-payment of salaries of 12 state government colleges’ teachers and non teaching staff, vocational trainers getting less amount and over 1.5 lakh contract workers still not getting regularized. “There are over 22000 Anganwadi workers in the city, who have been demanding a pay hike for the past several months, but the Delhi government has dismissed about 1000 of these workers from the job,” said Adesh Gupta, president, Delhi BJP. “We urged the Lt Governor to direct the Delhi government to restore their services and also increase their salaries,” he added.
