Firozabad, July 29: Uttar Pradesh BJP Vice President Rajesh Yadav has targeted the Samajwadi Party and its leader Akhilesh Yadav, stating that the party is attempting to hide behind the ‘PDA’ slogan to escape its tarnished image. He asserted that in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, the public will once again support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a recent conversation, when asked about the BJP’s focus on caste equations while the Samajwadi Party promotes the PDA slogan, Yadav emphasized the significant differences in their political strategies.
He remarked that the Samajwadi Party is fearful of its own name. According to him, the party is still associated with poor law and order, crime, and chaos. He alleged that the Samajwadi Party’s outdated image persists among the public, which is why it is now prioritizing ‘PDA’ over its own name.
“Actually, the Samajwadi Party is afraid of its name. The mention of the Samajwadi Party brings back memories of a troubled past. Therefore, they are trying to put ‘PDA’ forward while keeping their name behind,” he stated.
Yadav further claimed that the Samajwadi Party has yet to provide a clear explanation of what ‘PDA’ stands for. He suggested that Akhilesh Yadav should clarify whether ‘P’ stands for ‘Pahadi’ or ‘A’ for ‘Alpashankhyak’. He insisted that this clarification is necessary.
He accused the PDA of merely being a political slogan, utilized by the Samajwadi Party to distance itself from its previous image. Yadav concluded that the people of Uttar Pradesh make decisions based on development, good governance, and law and order, and the BJP will focus on these issues in its outreach.
