BJP Leader Ajay Alok Criticizes CJP Protests and Opposition Leaders

New Delhi, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Ajay Alok, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has voiced his opinions on several pressing political matters, including the protests by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) and the call for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. Speaking in New Delhi, Alok also addressed comments made by Congress leaders regarding India-Pakistan relations.

In his remarks about the CJP protests, Alok quipped, “When cockroaches gather in large numbers, spraying becomes necessary.” His comments reflect a broader critique of the opposition’s tactics.

Responding to former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s assertion that the Election Commission should not be made independent, Alok countered by highlighting the historical failures of opposition leaders, suggesting that they are now beginning to recognize the mistakes of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He questioned the previous independence of the Election Commission, alleging that during Congress rule, appointments were often politically motivated.

Alok pointed out that for the first time, a three-member appointment committee was established by law, questioning why such a system had not been implemented earlier.

On the topic of Pakistan, Alok sharply criticized Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar for advocating dialogue with Islamabad. He challenged the rationale behind Aiyar’s insistence on talks, suggesting that if Aiyar wishes to engage with Pakistan, he should do so in Islamabad rather than expecting India to pursue discussions.

Regarding comments made by Congress leader Imran Masood about Captain Smita Machhar, Alok accused Masood and Rahul Gandhi of failing to support Machhar, despite praise from global leaders. He linked this situation to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, indicating a serious concern over the opposition’s stance.

Alok further alleged that the opposition is engaging in appeasement politics, which he claims disrespects Indian Muslims. He warned that attempts to create instability and undermine trust in constitutional institutions are being driven by foreign powers, Islamic organizations, and communist forces. According to Alok, such activities ultimately benefit those who do not have India’s interests at heart.
