BJP Leader Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Misleading on Electoral Issues

New Delhi, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Senior BJP leader Nishikant Dubey has launched a scathing attack on opposition leader Rahul Gandhi amid ongoing controversies surrounding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) process across the country. Dubey accused Gandhi of misleading the public regarding the Election Commission.

In a post shared on the social media platform X, Dubey referenced historical documents, highlighting the 1983 Nellie massacre in Assam, where approximately 5,000 Bangladeshi Muslims were killed in a single night, with many more injured or missing. He pointed out that the then Chief Election Commissioner, Sukhadar, insisted that elections in Assam could not proceed without an SIR following the 1980 Lok Sabha elections. Dubey emphasized that elections in India should involve Indian voters, not those from Bangladesh or Pakistan. He criticized former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for conducting the 1983 elections under the guise of Muslim appeasement, which led to widespread riots and unrest in Assam. Dubey claimed that Rahul Gandhi is now attempting to incite civil unrest by supporting Bangladeshi voters against the Election Commission.

Earlier, on October 1, Dubey had also targeted Jawaharlal Nehru in a post regarding the SIR. He recalled that on October 1, 1952, China first occupied Indian territory in Aksai Chin. Dubey accused Nehru of misleading the nation about the events from 1956 to 1962 to cover up his own failures. He recounted that when the Indian Army discovered China’s actions in 1952, Captain Rajendra Nath was sent to investigate and later wrote about the situation in Strategic Ladakh. His findings revealed that China had constructed advanced roads and airports, effectively controlling Aksai Chin.

Dubey stated that upon receiving this report, Nehru became furious and dismissed it, leading to the acceptance of Tibet as part of China and the establishment of the Panchsheel principles. He questioned whether Nehru’s actions, which included ignoring military intelligence and allowing China to gain territory, should be considered treason.
