Lucknow, August 26: Leaders from the Samajwadi Party, including Dimple Yadav, Naseem Solanki, and Ragini Sonkar, spoke with a news agency on Wednesday about various issues. These included the hijab controversy, the JP-NIC (Jay Prakash Narayan International Center) matter, the Kriti Sanon advertisement dispute, and the Uttar Pradesh government’s free bus service for women.
Dimple Yadav highlighted the Samajwadi Party’s efforts in distributing laptops to women, providing pensions, and offering financial aid through the Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme. She emphasized that under the Women’s Honor Fund scheme, every woman in the state will receive ₹40,000.
Samajwadi Party MLA Naseem Solanki criticized the current government’s treatment of women, stating that their respect and dignity have been evident through police brutality. He urged the government to listen to the struggles of women who work daily to support their families. Regarding the controversy surrounding Kriti Sanon’s Raksha Bandhan advertisement and comments made by actress and MP Kangana Ranaut, he asserted that no one should be judged based on their attire.
Ragini Sonkar also addressed the free bus service for women, affirming that the Samajwadi Party has always respected and empowered women. She assured that the party will continue to provide free bus services in the future.
Sonkar further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of prioritizing business over the welfare of the people. She claimed that the BJP is intent on selling everything, even electricity. This, she argued, is not surprising, as they are business-minded individuals who lack empathy for the public. Their focus, she said, is solely on profit, disregarding the sentiments, education, livelihood, and healthcare of the common people.
