Dehradun, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Dehradun — Mahendra Bhatt, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttarakhand, confidently declared that the party will achieve a historic third consecutive term in the upcoming assembly elections. He accused the Congress party of fostering division and corrupting the political landscape of the state.
During a recent discussion in Dehradun, Bhatt took aim at Congress, suggesting that everyone has the right to dream, even if those dreams belong to “Mungeri Lal.” He emphasized, however, that the reality is that the BJP is poised to win decisively once again.
Bhatt asserted that the Congress party will not return to power in Uttarakhand. He highlighted that the BJP is focused on serving the public interest, ensuring that the party is on track to form the government for a third time.
He further criticized Congress for spreading animosity in society, pledging that the BJP would unite to oppose such actions.
Additionally, Bhatt announced that BJP National President Nitin Naveen will be visiting Uttarakhand for two days. Events are scheduled to take place in Haldwani and Rudrapur on September 10, with all preparations reportedly finalized.
Addressing allegations from Congress regarding recent events in Haldwani, Bhatt dismissed any connection between the BJP and the situation. He accused Congress of being agitated and attempting to poison societal relations along caste lines.
When questioned about FIRs filed against BJP leaders in Bengaluru, Bhatt reiterated that the party had no involvement in the Haldwani incident. He expressed confidence that the public would reject Congress’s tactics and stand against their divisive rhetoric.
