Patna, May 12: The Janata Dal United (JD(U)), part of the Bihar government, has initiated a new program aimed at addressing the concerns of the public. Starting Monday, ministers from the JD(U) will hold daily public hearings at the party’s state office from Monday to Friday.
According to the schedule, all ministers will listen to citizens’ complaints and issues beginning at 11:30 AM and will also work towards resolving them. This initiative was launched following the directives of JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar. Notably, the list includes Nishant Kumar, son of former Chief Minister and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar. The party has officially released a roster detailing the ministers and their designated hearing days.
On Mondays, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Building Construction Minister Lesi Singh, and Rural Works Minister Sunil Kumar will conduct the hearings. On Tuesdays, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Science and Technology Minister Sheela Mandal, and Energy Minister Shailesh Kumar, also known as Bulo Mandal, will be available to address public concerns.
Wednesdays will see Health Minister Nishant Kumar, Transport Minister Damodar Rawat, and Disaster Management Minister Ratnesh Sada present for public hearings. On Thursdays, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Prohibition and Excise Minister Madan Sahni, and Social Welfare Minister Shweta Gupta will listen to citizens.
Finally, on Fridays, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Planning and Development Minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, and Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan will attend to the public’s issues. The party has stated that this initiative aims to establish direct communication between the public and the government, ensuring a swift resolution to citizens’ problems.
It is worth noting that during his tenure as Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar also engaged with the public through “Janata Darbar,” where he listened to and attempted to resolve citizens’ issues.
