Patna, May 6: Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, has made a significant decision regarding the official residence of the Chief Minister. On Tuesday, he announced that the residence located at ‘1 Anee Marg’ in the capital, Patna, will now be known as the ‘Public Servant Residence.’
The Chief Minister’s Secretariat has officially designated the residence at 1 Anee Marg, Patna, for all official purposes as ‘Public Servant Residence’ effective immediately.
For decades, ‘1 Anee Marg’ has served as the official residence of Bihar’s Chief Minister, witnessing many major political and administrative decisions in the state.
Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently vacated this residence. Before moving into the Chief Minister’s residence, Samrat Chaudhary took this significant step. He has relocated to 7 Circular Road, leaving ‘1 Anee Marg’ behind.
Meanwhile, since taking office, Samrat Chaudhary has not yet moved into ‘1 Anee Marg.’ Currently, he remains at 5 Desh Ratna Marg. Thus, ‘1 Anee Marg’ is still unoccupied.
Reports indicate that Samrat Chaudhary will not vacate 5 Desh Ratna Marg and intends to stay at ‘1 Anee Marg.’ The Bihar Building Construction Department has issued an order regarding this matter.
Shiv Ranjan, the Land Revenue Officer and Joint Secretary, stated that the previous order has been modified, designating residence number 5, Desh Ratna Marg, Patna, as a temporary extension of residence 1 Anee Marg.
