Bihar Transfers 16 IPS Officers, Sudhanshu Kumar Appointed as ADG (Law and Order)

Patna, May 11: The Bihar government has announced the transfer of several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The Home Department issued a notification on Sunday detailing the transfer of 16 officers.

According to the notification, ADG and Additional Commissioner of Civil Security, Paresh Saxena, has been appointed as the Director General and Commissioner of Civil Security. Nirmal Kumar Azad, who was serving as ADG of Technical Services and Communication, has been assigned the role of Director General of Police (Training). Additionally, Sudhanshu Kumar, the Additional Director General of the State Crime Records Bureau and Modernization, has now taken on the responsibilities of ADG (Law and Order).

Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, previously ADG of Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau, will now serve as ADG of the Economic Offenses Unit. Nair Hasanain Khan has been reassigned from the Economic Offenses Unit to lead the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP). Similarly, Dr. Kamal Kishore Singh, ADG of Budget, Appeals, and Welfare, has been appointed as ADG in the Railways, while Ajitabh Kumar, ADG of Provisioning, will now oversee the State Crime Records Bureau and Modernization.

Sanjay Singh, previously ADG (Training), will now take on the role of ADG (Budget, Appeals, and Welfare). IPS officer Amit Lodha has been moved from the State Crime Records Bureau to become ADG of Technical Services and Communication. Furthermore, Amrit Raj, ADG of Security, has been assigned to the Cyber Crime and Security Unit, while Kase Suhita Anupam has been reassigned from Special Secretary of the Home Department to ADG of the Vulnerable Sections.

Vikas Vaibhav has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police for the Magadh region (Gaya). Chhatranil Singh has been moved from Inspector General of Police for the Magadh region to become Special Secretary of the Home Department. Railway IG P. Kannan has been assigned the responsibility of IG Provisioning, and Ranjit Kumar Mishra, IG of the Cyber Crime and Security Unit, will now head the Crime Investigation Department. Sanjay Kumar, IG of Bihar Special Armed Police, has been appointed as the Inspector General of the Special Branch.
