Bihar Government Transfers Senior IAS Officers

Patna, May 10: The Bihar government has announced the transfer of several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, assigning them new responsibilities. The General Administration Department has issued a notification regarding these changes. Many officials have also been relieved of additional charges.

According to the notification, Anand Kishore, the Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, has been relieved of his additional charge as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department. Meanwhile, H.R. Srinivas has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, while retaining his additional charge in the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Additionally, Santosh Kumar Mall has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Disaster Management Department. He will also hold additional responsibilities as the Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department and the Special Task Officer in the Local Commissioner’s Office. Lokesh Kumar Singh, the former Secretary of the Health Department, has been transferred to serve as the Secretary of the Tourism Department. Singh will also manage additional responsibilities in the Science, Technology, and Technical Education Department.

Furthermore, Kundan Kumar has been relieved of his additional charges as the Local Commissioner of Bihar Bhawan in New Delhi and as the Investment Commissioner in Mumbai. Kumar Ravi has been transferred from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Bihar, Patna, and appointed as the Secretary of the Health Department until further notice. He will also take on the additional responsibility of Secretary of the Parliamentary Affairs Department. Ajay Yadav, Secretary of Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department in Bihar, Patna, has been transferred and appointed as the Secretary of the Energy Department in Bihar, Patna, until further notice.

Moreover, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department in Bihar, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Finance Department (full charge) until further notice. Pranav Kumar, Secretary of the Art and Culture Department, has been given the responsibility of Secretary of Building Construction. Chandrashekhar Singh, who is currently working in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, has been entrusted with the important role of Secretary of the Water Resources Department.
