Bihar Day Celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir, Honoring Great Revolutionaries

Jammu, March 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Lok Bhavan celebrated Bihar Day on Sunday, paying tribute to the great revolutionaries and influential personalities of Bihar.

An official statement revealed that the grand event took place at the Lok Bhavan in Jammu. Celebrating the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the cultural evening brought together senior government officials, students, and residents of Jammu and Kashmir from Bihar.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended heartfelt wishes to the people of Bihar on this occasion. He honored the great revolutionaries and notable figures from Bihar, recalling their invaluable contributions to the nation’s development and the making of modern India.

Sinha emphasized that from the era of Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya to the freedom movement, Bihar has been a shield for the nation and a center for India’s unity, spirituality, culture, intellect, and economic life.

He noted that Bihar, as the heartland of the Magadh Empire, has carved a unique identity. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is reclaiming its ancient glory and emerging as a key driver of extensive development and innovation.

The Lieutenant Governor also discussed Bihar’s unprecedented contributions to India’s industrial and educational landscape, along with its profound impact on architecture, music, art, and literary traditions.

“I pray that this sacred land, rich in cultural diversity, glorious historical heritage, knowledge, and spirituality, continues to progress on the path of development,” Sinha stated.

Jammu and Kashmir is organizing cultural programs to commemorate the foundation days of various states and Union Territories, including Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Puducherry, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The Lieutenant Governor remarked that celebrating the foundation days of different states and Union Territories offers an opportunity to honor the unity in diversity of our great nation and strengthen the emotional bonds traditionally present among the people.
