New Delhi, May 3: Amid discussions on cabinet expansion in Bihar, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary visited New Delhi. There, he met with Vinod Tawde, the BJP’s National General Secretary.
In a post on the social media platform X, CM Samrat Chaudhary shared that he had a courtesy meeting with Tawde, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha and in charge of Bihar for the BJP.
During his visit, Chaudhary also met with Bihar NDA leaders, including Jitan Ram Manjhi, Lalan Singh, and Nityanand Rai. He shared pictures from these meetings on social media.
After meeting with Union Minister Nityanand Rai, he posted on X, stating, “A warm meeting and meaningful discussions took place in New Delhi. We had positive and results-oriented discussions regarding the vision of ‘Developed India, Prosperous Bihar.'”
While sharing a photo with Union Minister and JD(U) leader Lalan Singh, the CM noted, “We had extensive discussions on various developmental issues related to Bihar and deliberated on cooperation and coordination to accelerate the state’s overall development.”
Chaudhary described his meeting with former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi as a courtesy call. Earlier, he also met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Sources indicate that during his visit to Delhi, CM Samrat Chaudhary may soon meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President Nitin Nabin. It is believed that the final decisions regarding the names of new ministers will be made following these meetings.
It is noteworthy that a cabinet expansion is still pending after the formation of the new government in Bihar. Samrat Chaudhary took oath as the new Chief Minister of Bihar on April 15, becoming the first CM from the BJP in the state. Alongside him, Vijay Chaudhary and Bijendra Yadav were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
