Patna, May 3: Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, has expressed his sorrow over the tragic road accident in Muzaffarpur. He announced a financial assistance of ₹4 lakh for the families of the deceased.
On Sunday, CM Chaudhary conveyed his deep condolences for the untimely deaths of four individuals in a road accident in the Ratanpur area of the Motipur police station in Muzaffarpur district. He described the incident as extremely unfortunate.
The Chief Minister prayed for the strength to help grieving families endure this difficult time. He directed the Disaster Management Department to provide a grant of ₹4 lakh to each of the victims’ dependents.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on National Highway 27 near Ratanpur. A truck trailer was stationary in the main lane in front of a roadside hotel when a car, speeding towards Muzaffarpur city, approached. At that moment, a motorcyclist attempted to cross the road. In an effort to avoid the biker, the car driver lost control and crashed directly into the stationary truck trailer.
The impact was devastating, completely wrecking the car. There were two young men seated in the front and two in the back, all of whom died at the scene. Following the accident, a crowd of locals gathered to assist in rescue efforts, temporarily disrupting traffic on the road.
Muzaffarpur’s Rural Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Singh Prabhakar, confirmed that four individuals in the car lost their lives in this tragic accident. He stated that police arrived at the scene promptly after receiving the report. After considerable effort, they managed to extract the bodies from the vehicle and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem. Traffic on the route has since been restored, and police are investigating the entire incident.
