Baloch Liberation Army Claims Responsibility for Attacks in Balochistan, 18 Soldiers Killed

The Baloch Liberation Army reports 25 operations in Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of 18 Pakistani soldiers and several injuries.

Quetta, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks across Balochistan, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of 18 Pakistani soldiers. These operations took place from September 14 to 23, primarily targeting military personnel.

According to local media reports, the BLA’s spokesperson, Jiand Baloch, stated that the attacks occurred in various regions, including Punjgur, Kech, Kharan, Khuzdar, Mastung, Washuk, and Nushki. The group targeted military convoys, checkposts, and what they referred to as “death squads.”

On September 22, the BLA claimed to have ambushed members of a bomb disposal unit near Dasht’s Terra Mile area, using an improvised explosive device (IED). The attack allegedly resulted in the death of one soldier and injured another.

Additionally, the BLA reported that on the same day, its fighters seized control of the Bagbana police station in Khuzdar, confiscating weapons and equipment. The group stated that when police anti-terrorism forces attempted to enter the area, they were attacked, leading to casualties among the armed group and injuries to police personnel, including Station House Officer Munir Alam Jattak.

The BLA also targeted Pakistani military forces on September 20 near the Shahid Balach Khan Stadium in Nushki, resulting in two soldiers killed and four others wounded. They claimed to have fired multiple rounds at a military post in the Koshk area using a grenade launcher.

On September 21, the group took control of Radig in Mand, establishing blockades at key locations and launching an attack on a major military camp with heavy and automatic weapons. Earlier, on September 18, the BLA had claimed to seize Balochabad and Bullow in Mand, blocking critical entry points and addressing gatherings during their operations.

The BLA accused Pakistani forces of targeting civilian areas using drones, injuring five individuals, while they claimed to have shot down one of the drones. The group vowed to continue its operations against what it described as exploitation of Balochistan’s resources and state-backed armed groups, asserting that their armed struggle would persist until an independent and sovereign Balochistan is established.

The statement concluded, “The sacrifices made by our fighters and the strategy of economic blockade are causing the occupying army to face defeat on every front.”
