Attack Reported at US Vice President’s Home, One Arrested

New Delhi: A security breach has been reported at the residence of US Vice President J.D. Vance in Ohio. Although it is not yet confirmed who entered the premises, an individual has been taken into custody as investigations continue.

According to US federal law enforcement sources cited by American media, the incident took place at Vice President Vance’s Ohio home. The US Secret Service informed CNN that the Vance family was not present at the residence during the incident. Initial reports suggest that the intruder did not actually enter the home.

Images shared by media outlets show damage to the windows of the house, but the exact nature of the event remains unclear. Law enforcement officials are examining whether the incident was targeted against Vice President Vance or his family.

Reports from WCPO indicate that several windows at the residence were found broken on Monday morning. Although Vice President Vance and his family relocated to the official residence in Washington in January 2025, they still own the property in Cincinnati, where they frequently reside.

Video footage from the scene shows officers patrolling the area around the house in darkness, using flashlights to inspect at least three windows that were damaged. Further details about the incident have not yet been disclosed.
