Thiruvalla, April 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Thiruvalla, Kerala, on Saturday. During his speech, he praised Anup Antony Joseph, the BJP candidate for the Thiruvalla assembly seat and his “right-hand man.”
Following the rally, Anup Antony Joseph spoke to a news agency, expressing his emotions. “I cannot describe my feelings, as the Prime Minister has showered love on someone like me. It is beyond words. I feel deeply honored and thank him. My entire life is dedicated to him,” he stated.
He further mentioned that he had the opportunity to work closely with PM Modi over the past four to five years. “I did what I could, but I am unsure how well I executed it. The blessing I received from PM Modi today is the most precious moment of my life,” he added.
Anup Antony Joseph emphasized the potential for development in Thiruvalla with the support of PM Modi and the central government. “I am a leader who stays among the people. I reach out to them in their troubles. The public desires a leader who can guide and assist them in every endeavor,” he said.
Regarding “Modi’s guarantee,” he noted that it benefits every sector, particularly the underprivileged. “PM Modi has uplifted the Dalit and ST communities. He has also worked to advance the North East and individuals like me from the Christian community,” he explained.
He highlighted PM Modi’s efforts to empower women, stating that the Prime Minister formulates plans for their benefit. “Bringing women’s reservation to Parliament is historic. If anyone has cared for women’s issues, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, NDA candidate Kummanam Rajasekharan, a former governor of Mizoram, remarked that people in Kerala are losing faith in the LDF and UDF. “They see no viability in Kerala’s politics, which is why they are considering change. Thousands gathered here just to see and hear PM Modi,” he said.
Rajasekharan added that the people of Kerala want change, and PM Modi has promised to take care of them and establish a government here. “The LDF and UDF have deceived the people; we will serve and protect the citizens of Kerala,” he stated.
He also addressed unemployment, acknowledging the lack of job opportunities. “We must accept that there are not enough jobs. Wherever we go, we see Malayalis who have left because there are no options here. There is no industry or commerce, everything is at a low level, which is why no industry is coming,” he explained.
BJP leader Gopal Shetty mentioned that he and many workers from Maharashtra arrived on the 20th. “Under Vinod Tawde’s leadership, Maharashtra’s people are working here splendidly. We are inspired by the sacrifices of Kerala’s workers. This time, we will see a significant change in Kerala. A large crowd attended PM Modi’s rally,” he stated.
Shetty concluded that both the LDF and UDF have lost confidence. “The response from BJP workers and voters here shows that both parties have lost their self-assurance. Today’s rally proves that the BJP will wave its flag in Kerala.”
