Anu Aggarwal Reflects on Her Theatre Journey Before Bollywood Fame

Mumbai, April 15: Renowned actress Anu Aggarwal, famous for her work in the 1990s, shared a heartfelt experience on Wednesday. She revealed how she prepared herself for the acting world before stepping into films.

The actress posted an old photograph on Instagram, accompanied by a narrative about her early days. She mentioned that she worked in theatre before entering the film industry.

In her post, she wrote, “Before stepping into the world of films and modeling, I worked in theatre. There, I learned to understand characters, observe people closely, and act naturally.”

Aggarwal noted that her life took a completely different direction after theatre. She became involved in social service, addressing real-world issues and helping others.

She reflected on how fate had other plans for her. Soon after, she graced the cover of a magazine and earned the title of supermodel. While her success was evident, she emphasized that the actor within her had always existed.

In the 1990s, Anu Aggarwal made a significant impact in Bollywood. Her film “Aashiqui” (1991) became a blockbuster, and her pairing with Rahul Roy was widely appreciated. Following the film’s release, she became an overnight star and continued to work in several other films. However, a severe car accident left her in a coma for 29 days, abruptly ending her acting career. Currently, she is a yoga instructor, author, and actively engages in social work through the Anu Aggarwal Foundation.
