Amit Shah Declares BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh Unshakeable at Party Meeting
Amit Shah emphasizes BJPs stronghold in Uttar Pradesh, urging party members for a decisive victory in upcoming elections.

Lucknow, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh on October 30, 2026, at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium in Lucknow. He lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the session and encouraged party members to prepare for victory.
Shah stated that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is as steadfast as “Angad’s foot,” implying it cannot be shaken. He expressed confidence that the party would secure a resounding majority once again, urging party workers to remain focused on their goals.
He called on the members to adopt the focus of Arjuna, only aiming for the bird’s eye, as the time has come for the BJP to form the government for the third consecutive time. The meeting was attended by several prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Smriti Irani.
Reflecting on the past, Shah recalled the tragic events of October 30, 1990, when the Samajwadi Party government was accused of violence against Ram devotees. He contrasted this with the BJP’s commitment to constructing a grand temple for Lord Ram.
Shah highlighted the BJP’s strength in Parliament, noting that the party holds 240 seats, more than the combined total of Congress’s performance in the last three elections. He criticized opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav for blaming others instead of taking responsibility for their defeats.
He pointed out recent electoral successes for the BJP in various states, including notable wins in Haryana and Maharashtra, and emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is poised for another BJP victory. Shah asserted that under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, crime rates have significantly decreased, making Uttar Pradesh an attractive destination for investment.
The minister claimed that the BJP’s achievements in the last decade surpass those of the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party combined. He praised Prime Minister Modi for his initiatives and emphasized that the implementation of government schemes in Uttar Pradesh has been exemplary.
Shah reiterated the BJP’s commitment to national security, stating that the party will not tolerate terrorism or Naxalism. He announced plans to implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttar Pradesh if the BJP is re-elected.
Concluding his remarks, Shah encouraged party workers to prioritize service to the nation, asserting that the development of Uttar Pradesh is crucial for India’s overall progress.
