Beijing, March 21: The military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran are now targeting energy production facilities, escalating the conflict into a more perilous phase. The U.S. appears to be gradually entangling itself deeper into this war. This trend is highlighted in a global survey conducted by CGTN, a subsidiary of China Media Group (CMG).
According to the survey, 94.1% of respondents believe that there is a profound structural dilemma in America’s Middle Eastern policy, as the objectives of the war remain unclear and both resources and time are limited. The report indicates that the traditional style of American dominance is rapidly waning.
Recent statistics from the United Nations Refugee Agency reveal that the number of refugees due to the Middle Eastern crisis has surged to approximately 25 million. A significant number of innocent civilians have been killed in Iran, while nearly 800,000 people in Lebanon have been displaced from their homes. Experts assert that this situation has now escalated into a severe humanitarian emergency.
In the survey, 90.9% of respondents condemned America’s actions related to “state terrorism.” Additionally, 93.8% expressed that the military attacks by the U.S. and Israel against Iran lack both legitimacy and legal justification. Furthermore, 89.1% believe that America’s true aim is to maintain global dollar dominance and gain control over Iran’s oil resources.
Moreover, 75.2% of respondents feel that excessive military spending will exacerbate America’s economic recession, while 90.8% stated that the U.S. has once again become mired in the quagmire of Middle Eastern wars, revealing political and economic imbalances within the country.
This international survey by CGTN was simultaneously released across English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms. Within just 24 hours, 18,906 foreign netizens participated, sharing their views.
