
Muzaffarpur, August 18: An ambulance operated under government service was reportedly used for trafficking marijuana and weapons in Muzaffarpur. Police seized 200 grams of marijuana and a homemade firearm from a 102-number ambulance parked near the Super Specialty Block of the Medical College. The ambulance driver and a technician were arrested in connection with the incident.
According to police, the operation took place late on August 17. Officials received a tip-off about the presence of marijuana and a firearm in the ambulance parked near the Super Specialty Block. Following the information, the police team swiftly surrounded the ambulance and conducted a search. During the search, they discovered approximately 200 grams of marijuana and a homemade firearm.
The police apprehended the ambulance driver and the technician present at the scene. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sarabjit Kumar and Manohar Kumar. Authorities have confiscated the seized marijuana and firearm and are currently interrogating the suspects.
City SP Mohibullah Ansari stated that operating an ambulance with weapons and drugs is a serious offense. He mentioned that the 102 ambulance had traveled from Bonchaha to the Super Specialty Block of the Medical College. The police are now investigating the entire matter.
Sarabjit Kumar is reported to be a resident of the Turki police station area, while Manohar Kumar hails from the Aurai police station area. The police are also examining the criminal history of both individuals.
Authorities are working to determine when and where the 200 grams of marijuana and the homemade firearm were placed in the ambulance. Additionally, they are investigating whether this ambulance has been used for any illegal activities in the past. The police hope that through interrogation of the arrested suspects and other evidence, they can reach others involved in this case.
