Akhilesh Yadav to Champion Backward Classes Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Elections

Akhilesh Yadavs upcoming rally aims to address injustices faced by backward classes in Uttar Pradesh, as tensions rise with BJP.

Prayagraj, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : In Prayagraj, the political climate is heating up as the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections approach. A fierce poster war has erupted, with the Samajwadi Party (SP) portraying Akhilesh Yadav as a modern-day Krishna, while the BJP counters with slogans like “Akhilesh’s Mafia, Mafia’s Akhilesh.”

SP spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand made a bold statement regarding the controversial posters. He accused the BJP of humiliating legislators from backward classes through administrative actions. “Now that Akhilesh Yadav is set to fight for the rights of the backward community, some people are feeling uneasy. These are the same individuals who have disrespected Dalits and backward classes, while also undermining the rights of minorities,” he asserted.

Chand emphasized that neither the SP nor the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) would be intimidated by BJP’s tactics. He expressed confidence that the SP’s commitment to honor Dalits, backward classes, and marginalized groups would not waver, regardless of the ongoing poster campaign. “This PDA rally marks the beginning of our fight for the dignity of backward classes,” he stated.

Akhilesh Yadav is set to launch the PDA rally on Thursday, starting from Bachhrawan and heading to Raebareli. Chand highlighted that injustices against backward classes are not limited to issues of reservation; they also face humiliation.

He condemned the BJP’s actions that led to the disgrace of their backward class legislators in Raebareli, calling it deeply shameful. “Akhilesh Yadav has decided that the rally will commence from the very place where backward classes were insulted,” he noted.

During the rally, Yadav plans to visit a legislator’s residence in Raebareli for tea, symbolizing the start of a movement to restore respect and rights for backward communities.

Regarding the portrayal of Yadav as Krishna in a recent poster, Chand stated that the SP would refrain from commenting on it. “The sentiments of our workers, the PDA community, and the public are reflected in these posters. It is their expression of devotion and emotion, and we will not interfere with that,” he concluded.
