
Bhadohi, April 28: Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Urban Development and Energy, AK Sharma, launched a strong attack on the opposition during his visit to Bhadohi regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. He stated that politicizing sensitive issues like women’s rights is unacceptable, emphasizing the government’s full commitment to women’s empowerment.
In a press conference held at the Aurai block auditorium, Minister Sharma noted that under Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation has seen a new direction in women’s empowerment. Initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ have brought significant positive changes in society, strengthening the status of women.
He criticized the opposition’s stance on women’s reservation, stating that serious efforts were made to pass this crucial bill, but the opposition’s non-cooperative attitude hindered its progress.
Minister Sharma expressed confidence that the bill will eventually be passed, enhancing women’s political participation and empowerment. He also participated in a public protest supporting women’s rights, demonstrating solidarity with women.
He asserted that any compromise on women’s rights will not be tolerated, and the government is consistently taking concrete steps in this direction. The event saw various public representatives and women leaders, including Vinod Bind, raising their voices in support of women’s reservation while criticizing the opposition.
A large number of women present conveyed a message of awareness, showing their commitment to their rights and chanting slogans against the opposition.
