236 K’taka students still stranded in Ukraine: KSMDA

Bengaluru, March 7 : The Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority on Monday said there are still 236 students stranded in the war-hit Ukraine. “As per the control room statistics, we have another 236 students who have to be evacuated from Ukraine,” KSDMA Commissioner and Nodal Officer Manoj Ranjan said. So far, 47 batches of Karnataka students have been evacuated from Ukraine under Operation Ganga. “As many as 40 of them have come to Karnataka via Delhi and 7 via Mumbai,” he said. So far, 448 students hailing from Karnataka have been evacuated, Ranjan said. “On Sunday, 76 of them have reached Delhi and we are waiting for another couple of flights to reach,” he said. Today, 12 flights are scheduled for evacuating Indians from Ukraine which will get some more Karnataka students, Ranjan said. BDN SY 1111
