Udaipur : Vedanta-Hindustan Zinc’s CSR initiative Zinc Football was awarded for its work and achievements in Sports Head at the CSR Journal Excellence Awards 2021, organised by The CSR Journal. The glittering awards function, which was held in Mumbai, saw some top dignitaries of the country in the Corporate Social Responsibility space in attendance. Anupam Nidhi, CSR Head, Hindustan Zinc Limited, accompanied by representatives of Zinc Football was honoured to accept the coveted award on behalf of the whole team.
In 2018, Hindustan Zinc pledged its support to the development of Indian Football with Zinc Football with further emphasis on social and economic upliftment, youth development, community building, women empowerment and promoting healthy living. The programme is a one-of-a-kind initiative in the country at the heart of which is a residential academy at Zawar, near Udaipur, with world-class facilities and the country’s first ever ‘technology-hinged football training’.
