Amaravati, August 11: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) state coordinator, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has criticized the Chandrababu Naidu government. He accused the administration of using police force against students, unemployed youth, and opposition members to suppress issues related to the ‘Mega DSC-2025’ irregularities instead of addressing specific questions.
Reddy stated that the affected candidates were the first to raise the issue, approach the courts, and present evidence, prompting YSRCP to escalate the movement. He claimed that the positive response from nearly ten events held over the past 70-75 days indicates that this issue resonates with the public’s genuine concerns.
He questioned why the responsibility for preparing question papers and managing the examination was assigned to the SCERT. He also raised concerns about the outsourcing of confidential digital operations and why the SCERT’s outsourced employee, Purama Naveen, was later removed from the merit list. Furthermore, he demanded answers regarding candidates who were called in a 1:1 ratio and passed certificate verification but were not appointed. He also criticized the lack of a transparent merit-cum-roster list.
Reddy highlighted a significant pattern emerging from the sports quota. He alleged that the government, through specific government orders, eliminated the need for a written exam, filled teacher posts without the DSC examination, and then reinstated the exam requirement shortly after recruitment.
He accused the government of manipulating sports certificates, using documents from different individuals together, tampering with the website after irregularities were exposed, and engaging in financial negotiations for teacher posts—all of which warrant a fair investigation.
Instead of addressing these questions, Reddy claimed the government was portraying that “everything is fine” and was using appointed individuals to attack those demanding investigations. He noted that peaceful hunger strikes, rallies, and protests were being thwarted through notices, detentions, false cases, and arrests.
He referenced the restrictions imposed in Kuppam, Pulivendula, and other constituencies, stating that the ruling party was utilizing police as a “hired force” for its protection.
Reddy asserted that the movement would not cease until Education Minister Nara Lokesh resigns, a CBI inquiry into the Mega DSC-2025 is ordered, pending payments for fee reimbursement and housing assistance are made, and the promised monthly unemployment allowance of ₹3,000 is implemented.
He concluded that denial, counterattacks, false propaganda, police cases, and arrests cannot erase evidence. “We will fully expose the irregularities in the DSC and continue our struggle until justice is served for students and unemployed youth,” he stated.
